phil rides across america
Phil Keoghan, host of The Amazing Race, "Ride Across America Presented by GNC" kicked off on March 28 in Los Angeles, ending in New York City on May 9. Throughout the gruelling ride, Phil helped us develop our performance cycling collection, giving us real time feedback which was fed into the development of the styles, perfecting them for long distance riding.

“Six hours in the gear yesterday and now rushing out to ride another six… love the wool, breathes very well, good for temperature control and comfortable… we got caught in the rain again today, I was warm as toast.” - Phil Keoghan

To see how he got on, check out his trip highlights below... or check out his new "Ride Across America" movie trailer!

“My favourite article of clothing is my Mountainsilk top by Untouched World™. It’s perfect for layering… perfect for travelling… and unlike synthetic material, it doesn’t get smelly. I can’t take it off. I’m amazed it stays such great shape”. - Phil Keoghan

Along the way, Phil has attended meet and greets with supporters at local GNC stores, visited CBS affiliates, attended open-casting calls for the next installment of THE AMAZING RACE, signed copies of his best-selling book No Opportunity Wasted, attended Bike MS rallies hosted by the National MS Society and ridden alongside ex-racers and fans of THE AMAZING RACE.

"I fly over 400,000 miles a year and I figured it was time to stretch my legs. I love to ride so I thought I'd see what this great country looks like up close instead of taking a bird's eye view at 30,000 feet," said Keoghan. "In this economic climate, bike riding makes a lot of sense - it's good for your waistline and easy on your wallet."

Phil cycled over 3500 miles on his ride from coast to coast, averaging 100 miles a day and spending about six hours a day in the saddle.
