United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development

In November 2007, Untouched World™ became the first fashion company in the world to be given permission by UNESCO to carry the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (UN DESD)logo on its labelling – one of a small number of organisations internationally accredited. This award recognises the efforts of Untouched World™ and the Untouched World™ Charitable Trust in the area of education for sustainability.

In April 2007, Untouched World™ CEO Peri Drysdale and Untouched World™ Charitable Trust Education Advisor Dr Barry Law presented at the United Nations Headquarters in Bonn, Germany. They were invited as one of twelve global exemplars at the United Nations meeting (including representatives from 40 countries) to discuss how to engage the corporate sector in education for sustainable development.
 
In November 2007, Untouched World™ Charitable Trust Executive Director Mark Prain attended a further meeting in Bonn. Untouched World™ was one of six corporate exemplars of education for sustainability at the meeting.
 
In April 2009, Peri Drysdale exhibited Untouched World™ in Bonn at the United Nations Mid Decade World Conference in Education for Sustainable development.
