Thanks to you, some very lucky rowi kiwis from Okarito
now have a beautiful new home on Blumine Island,
a place very close to our heart...

Our dream was realised this week when three pairs
of unproductive rowi kiwi, the rarest of New Zealand’s
kiwi species, were released onto Blumine Island in an
effort to encourage breeding.

It was back in 2000 when Untouched WorldTM approached
the Department Of Conservation with the idea of facilitating
a programme to make Blumine Island predator-free and
enable the rehabilitation of endangered species.
Ten years on, the Untouched WorldTM Charitable Trust
has made this a reality.

Unique youth leadership programmes developed and run by the
trust (and funded by the company from the purchases you make)
have given students the opportunity to get involved in the
ecological restoration of Blumine Island, and ultimately
make this kiwi transfer possible.

So thanks...
To you our customers, our company and Charitable Trust board
and executive, and especially to all the inspirational students
and teachers that have enabled this incredible milestone to take place.
We also thank our valued Charitable Trust partners.*

*The Department of Conservation and Canterbury University have partnered with the
Untouched WorldTM Charitable Trust over the past decade to run the youth leadership programmes
and help achieve predator-free status on Blumine Island; and BNZ and the Department of Conservation
partner with the Untouched WorldTM Charitable Trust for the Okarito rowi youth leadership programme
on the West Coast where these precious rowi kiwi have come from
