In times of crisis, the NZ Flying Doctors provide critical care patient transfers between hospitals. As a flying intensive care unit, operating 24/7 with highly trained medical staff and specialist equipment, patients are in the safest of hands to receive a seamless level of care from bed to bed. Operating an average of 1200 missions each year, they help burn victims, spinal injury patients, neonatal transfers, trauma victims, surgery transfers, organ delivery, and blood or equipment supplies.
