Thoughtfully Sourced at Matarae
Our Cassum™ merino is sourced from Matarae, a family-run farm near Middlemarch in Central Otago, where Willie and Emily Jones continue a merino farming legacy that began in the 1980s. Specialising in exceptionally fine merino wool, with flock averages between 15.5–17.5 micron, the farm is grounded in a deep commitment to sustainability, animal welfare, and caring for the land for future generations. Alongside protecting water quality and native biodiversity, the family has dedicated 14 hectares to the QEII National Trust to help safeguard the endangered Otago skink that calls Matarae home.
