TENCEL™ is made from sustainably sourced wood pulp using a closed-loop production process — meaning the water and solvents used are continuously recaptured and reused. What you're left with is a fabric that's soft, breathable, and biodegradable. Gentle on your skin, and honest about where it came from.
Made From Responsibly Sourced Wood
TENCEL™ is made from PEFC or FSC-certified tree plantations, which protect and sustainably manage our precious forests. Lenzing AG procures sustainably forested wood for cellulose production at its sites in Lenzing (Austria) and Paskov (Czech Republic). The wood and pulp procurement procedures follow strict guidelines. More than half of the raw material comes from Austrian forests, with a smaller part from other European countries.
Closed-Loop System
TENCEL™ is made using a closed-loop system that delivers a form of regenerated cellulose made by dissolving pulp and dry jet-wet spinning. Closed Loop means that any processing chemicals are not put back into the ecosystem but fed back into production. Lenzing AG, the company that owns TENCEL™ says the solvent recovery rate for their version is 99%, and water is also recycled.
Made with TENCEL™
Crafted entirely from Merino wool, each yarn offers its own balance of softness, strength, and ease—naturally breathable, temperature-regulating, and made for everyday wear. Each is designed for a different purpose, with its own feel.
