Spring is a season of renewal. The days lengthen, the air softens, and the first green shoots return to the landscape. It’s a time when everything feels lighter, and we often feel the pull to match that change in our own lives.
Our wardrobes are one of the places where this shift is most tangible. After months of winter layering, heavy coats and thick knits begin to feel out of step with the air around us. Drawers and rails hold more than we really need, and yet we still find ourselves reaching for the same familiar favourites. The change of season is an invitation to pause, to take stock, and to begin again with more clarity.
While it can feel satisfying to clear things out and make room for something new, a wardrobe reset is also about care: caring for the clothes we already own, making thoughtful choices about what stays or goes, and preparing for the season ahead. It’s a chance to look after the pieces that have served us well, let go of what no longer does, and welcome garments that will carry us into the warmer months with ease.
Caring for winter favourites
Before tucking away your heavier knits and woollens, take the time to store them properly. Natural fibres like merino and Kapua™ last for years when cared for, but they can be vulnerable to moths, mildew, or losing shape if left on hangers.
We recommend giving everything a wash or dry clean before storing, because natural oils and dust attract moths. Fold, rather than hang, to preserve structure. Then place the garments in breathable cotton bags or boxes lined with acid-free paper and add a few cedar blocks or lavender sachets to deter moths naturally. Think of it as a seasonal ritual: putting your winter clothes to rest so they’re ready to return in perfect condition.
Making space with intention
Resetting your wardrobe is also an opportunity to edit what you own. The goal isn’t to have less for its own sake, but to create space for clothes that truly serve you.
Try the “one-in, one-out” rule. If you bring in a new spring piece, retire something you haven’t worn. Or use the hanger test, where you turn all your hangers one way at the start of the season, and each time you wear something, turn the hanger back. By the end of spring, you’ll know what’s gathering dust and could do with finding a new home.
Most importantly, ask of each garment: does this earn its place? Not just whether you like it, but whether it’s versatile, comfortable, and aligned with how you actually live.
Choosing versatility
When you do add something new, look for pieces that will work hard across seasons. Think in layers: a merino tee that slips easily under winter knits but stands on its own in summer, or a light jacket that pairs as well with dresses as it does with denim.
Keep colour cohesion in mind. A small palette of neutrals with one or two accent colours makes mixing and matching effortless. And pay attention to fabrics. Natural fibres like merino and Kapua™ adapt to temperature, breathe with you, and wear beautifully through the seasons.
Our Spring/Summer ’25 collection was designed with this versatility in mind. It introduces softly tailored silhouettes and enduring designs, made to feel timeless yet fresh. For women, summer knits and refined staples are elevated in luxurious natural fibres. For men, relaxed tailoring and reimagined classics are cut for comfort in blends responsibly designed to last. Each piece is made to carry you through this season and the ones to come.
Creative ways to reimagine what you own
While a reset is partly about letting go, it’s also about seeing old favourites with fresh eyes. One way to do that is to break free from default pairings. We all have combinations we fall back on: the knit that always goes with jeans, the dress that only comes out with heels. But clothes rarely belong to just one outfit.
Try mixing across categories. Layer a knit over a slip dress to take it from evening to everyday, or pair tailored trousers with a casual sweatshirt for a new balance of polish and ease. Bringing a winter element into spring can also extend wear and soften the seasonal shift, such as boots with a light dress, or a chunky knit over linen.
A reset worth repeating
A spring wardrobe reset is a way of aligning with the rhythm of the seasons. We care for the clothes that have kept us warm through the winter, reclaim space by clearing out what we don’t need, and choose new pieces with care.
Over time, these small rituals create wardrobes that feel lighter, simpler, and more attuned to the lives we lead. In that way, a wardrobe reset becomes not about owning less, but about living more fully with what we have.
