Due to recent changes in trade regulations, orders shipped to the United States now incur additional charges at the border. These include:
~16% General Tariff - A standard duty applied to imported goods into the United States, which varies by product type. For most of our products, this rate is 16%.
12.5% ‘Reciprocal’ Tariff - A tariff introduced by the United States on goods made in New Zealand. Goods with a country of origin from elsewhere may be charged at a higher rate.
Disbursement Fee - A service fee charged by DHL (our international courier) for advancing duties and taxes to US Customs on your behalf. This covers the cost of processing the payment so your order can clear customs.
Together, these charges can amount to over 30% of your order value, collected before your goods are released.
These costs are applied by US Customs and the courier, and are outside of our control.
State Sales Tax – Depending on the delivery address, your order may also be subject to local state sales tax. This is not collected at the border.
